Taher Rouzmahsali

B. 1991 - Iran

Born in 1991 in Esfahan, Iran, Taher Rouzmahsali is a contemporary artist whose intricate paintings delve into the realms of imagination and dreamlike architecture. His works are a fusion of geometric complexity and urban labyrinths, evoking both familiar and alien landscapes. Through the interplay of order and decay, Rouzmahsali envisions architectural spaces that bridge the past and the future, highlighting themes of instability, loss, and the fragility of human creations.

Rouzmahsali’s imagined cities, with their monumental yet deteriorating structures, suggest a post-human world where the absence of humanity leads to self-destruction. His architectural paintings are ironic and ambiguous, blending the grandeur of ancient ruins with the speculative designs of futuristic metropolises. These works critique human ambition and narcissism, portraying architecture as both a symbol of achievement and a harbinger of a bleak destiny.
