The main idea of these complex drawings was formed on the basis of imagination and derived from painter’s dreams. The combining various geometric forms, the artist presents an interconnected and labyrinthine architectural space.

These urban features that have occupied the whole imaginary space remind us of both familiar and unfamiliar cities, complex and garbled-shaped layouts that might envisage for the post-human world. The urban spaces seem to be well-structured and wisely- designed. There are, however, clear signs of instability, loss and destruction: the monumental buildings evaporate and their surfaces begin to peel off. The cities turn into self-destructive systems in the absence of their builders, the human beings.

Orderly architectural structures, to some extent, are the reminder of ancient buildings, abandoned and buried for centuries, as well as the fantastic cities of the future. Once the past meets the future, the time collapses and identities of things and persons start losing their coherency and order.

This makes the works ironic, humorous and ambiguous. Utilizing these specific features in the works does not necessarily lead to the replication or revitalization of the past, but the re- interpretation and reproduction of a horrific new world ahead of us. Now, architecture as the symbol of human’s ambitious intentions and narcissistic drives paradoxically heralds the lugubrious destiny of human beings.
